Belvedere and Tiburon is an exclusive neighborhood which has stunning homes, amazing views and is approximately 4 miles north of San Francisco.  There are two public school districts, one for elementary and middle school and one for the high schools.

Reed Elementary is a 2002 California Distinguished School.  The school provides a solid academic curriculum focusing on developmentally appropriate activities.  Extracurricular activities such as the Lego Club and the Knitting Club are also available.

Designated a California Distinguished School in 2000, the school provides solid academics in addition to extracurricular activities ranging from advanced flute and movie making to science and the environmentally conscious Green Team.

A designated California Distinguished School, Del Mar began the Millennium Classroom Project in 2005 that provides laptops for students and teachers integrate computer skills into their daily work.  A wide variety of electives are available including courses in Spanish, music, journalism, and art.

A California Distinguished School in 2007, Redwood High School offers a

College prep curriculum with Advanced Placement and Honors courses.  French, Spanish, and Latin language courses are offered.  An ROP program is also available.


The school serves Larkspur, Kentfield, Reed Union and Ross School Districts.

Alumni include SF mayor Gavin Newsom, mountain bike inventor Gary Fisher and comedian Robin Williams.
